Halloween with Gma and Gpa Fulte

We got together at Gma and Gpa Fulte's the night before Halloween to show them the Sleepytime Bear and the Monkey!
We were trying to let you and Zeek give each other a kiss, but I know that face!!! I am pretty sure you were going in to bite at his nose!

Gpa McCanuel's Birthday and the Zoo

Gpa's birthday was November 7th and we went to the Elephant Bar to celebrate! You enjoyed eating a little bit of everything off of every one's plate since the waiter forgot your dinner, but I will admit your favorite was Gpa's birthday dessert! When have you EVER turned down ice cream.

Then yesterday you were with Gma and Gpa McCanuel for the day. It was Veteran's Day and FREE day at the Zoo! They said it was really busy but you guys had a wonderful time. Here is just a few pictures that they shared with us.

Dad is really excited to spend today with you. He has been away for 5 days! I took you this weekend so he could do yard work and Gma and Gpa Fulte had you on Monday. Then up to Conifer to Gma and Gpa McCanuel's Tuesday and Wednesday!

The walking is the real excitement this week! You also started dancing in your legs, not just your hands. When the music starts you begin bouncing up and down to the beat. The surprise is TO THE BEAT! Dad and I just smile, music IS in your family!

Walking Video

Tonight gave us a lot of entertainment! All on your own, no prompting right across the middle of the floor.
Then we finally got it on video with Dad's handy tripod. A few falls already tonight, but it does not seem to be stopping you!

You are walking!!!!

YOU DID IT! YOU WALKED!!
Yesterday you spent the day with G&G McCanuel. I went over with some dinner at the end of the day and we just hung out. We were playing and trying to get you to walk back and forth between Grandma and I. You did it!!! You walked about 4 steps back and forth until you got REALLY tired! Dad was really sad he missed it, but you did not disappoint! When we got home Dad put you down and you walked 4 steps to him! Up until yesterday, you were only doing about one step at a time. We are very excited that you are finding the confidence!

Your First Basketball Game

Your Uncle Joey started Assistant Coaching the Johnson & Wales University boys basketball team and we made out way out East to see a game. You had a lot of fun. You were mesmerized by the people, the cheering and all of the action. The first half of the game you sat in my lap and watched the players go up the court and down the court and up the court and down the court. The second half you got a little more mobile and you were excited to clap and cheer like all the fans around you! We had a really good time! Joey and Stephanie were really excited we made it!

This was the adorable half time show that sang and danced for us! You had a really good time watching them.

Standing ALL on your own!

My little cheerleader!

Your first Blow Pop. You enjoyed it very much!

The future Head Coach!

Halloween 2009

Tonight was your first Halloween and we had a great time. We had a Clone, a Spider, a Construction Worker and YOU (a monkey duh?). Everyone had a great time and even with the teething you made the best of it. I am so glad that the McGlone's came to join us, trick or treating in Evergreen this year would have been QUITE the task with all of the snow! We were so happy to host them in their first Highlands Ranch Trick or Treat night!

This week was fun, we had a Blizzard! Over two feet in our backyard and it was three solid days in the house for us! There is good and bad from having the ability to work from home, bad is when the city shuts down because it snows Mommy still has to work. But Dad made lots of good food including cookies and you didn't seem to mind the extra cuddle time with him at all.

I will say you are a BEACH BABY! Hot weather preferred all around! See below you did NOT like the full introduction to the snow! That is OK, all the more reason to get you suning and surfing very soon so I can convince your Dad to move to a tropical climate when you leave home to become a professional surfer in Maui one day!

You are also cutting 4 TEETH right now! Yep all at once! Your two top front and the two top canine. I feel for you! You are a real trooper, not too terribly fussy but you can tell there is an obvious restlessness about you! Today, 1 - 30 minute nap. Not enough to sustain an entire night of trick or treating! You didn't give in though, you did what you could! They are about to poke through, they may be there by tomorrow morning. They look like a foreign object trying to protrude from a balloon! YIKES!

You also learned yesterday to wave Bye Bye! Oh it is so cute! G&G McCanuel dropped Digger off today to spend the night with us and you waved to them from the second they left the front door until they left your sight at the end of the street. You have also started putting out your hand for people to KISS it when you see them, kind of like a greeting! What a princess you are and I am dead serious when I say this, "who taught you that!"

Don't mistake mis-liking the cold for mis-liking Ice Pops! No Way! Those are your favorite!

Get me out!

No I am SERIOUS! Get me OUT!

Family Photo Shoot

This photo shoot took a lot of planning and it was worth it!

Dad and I had pregnancy photos taken a month before you were born and we had a similar photo taken. Dad wanted to "recreate" the photo with you in it! We had to shop for shirts for you and me, as the one I was wearing in the previous photo was a maternity shirt. We had to find you a shirt. Then you looked a lot like a boy, because there was no pink! So Dad said we had to bring in the flowers.

The difficult part about this shoot, we wanted to do it as a "self" family portrait. These were all taken on a remote. Dad spent a lot of time setting up the studio and getting everything right before we got you down there. The only unfortunate part is how were we going to get you to look at the camera and smile. Hmmmmmmmm.
Dad had the camera covered in stuffed animals and a big red rug up there to catch your attention, he even tried shining a flash light near the camera as the timer went off so maybe that would bring a smile to your face. For all of this we were very happy with your attention to the front of the room.

The next family photo shoot we will have Grandma's there to sing and wave at you from behind the camera. But these pictures are nothing BUT priceless for me! Dad touched up his favorite and the rest I just loaded direct from the shoot. Dad has a wedding he is finishing up photoshop on, so it may take him a bit to get all to a final result. I couldn't wait to share!!! So here they are.

Almost 10 months. Dad and I already started talking about your 1st Birthday! OMG it is JUST around the corner. But WAIT......Halloween, Thanksgiving AND Christmas are right around the corner. PLENTY to keep us occupied until the big 1 comes knocking at our door!

Halloween is ALMOST here!

My little Monkey! We took an opportunity before the snow ruined the leaves to take your Halloween pictures in the back yard. Dad and I bought this outfit for you in AUGUST and we bought it pretty big, knowing Halloween was a few months away and you would have a little time to grow into it. I am SO glad next week is Halloween, it JUST fits you!

I am pretty sure these two pictures speak for themselves. You are SO into biting my nose! I don't get it, but I have LEARNED my lesson, I think you almost bit it off. You are QUICK!

Pumpkin Patch/Festival 2009

I have been waiting for this day since my friend Stacy had Kendall almost 7 years ago and took her to a pumpkin patch! It just sounded like an experience I couldn't wait to have with my own kids one day. It was such a wonderful experience and was everything I expected, but REALLY REALLY hot! We were not expecting the heat when we arrived, so you may notice some sweat on your face, or mine! Not to worry, you had an awesome time.

The Herb's were joining us and were ill so they couldn't make it :( But in true Fulte/Herb tradition, we are going to plan it again next year and see if we can make it for the forth year! He, he. We have the best of intentions!

Fresh squeezed Limeaid! You and I drink it at home all of the time after dinner as a treat, so to get an X Large at the Pumpkin Festival was a big treat!

I love this one above! I just want to eat you up!

Look at how strong you and Dad are! Ha, ha!

This one makes my heart melt! My favorite girl and my amazing husband, what could be better!

This shoulder thing only lasts for about 5 minutes, you have QUITE the grip when it comes to hair! Funny thing is, what there IS of your hair, you pull JUST as hard! You are a trip!

October

Wow what a month! These pictures above pretty much sum it up. Topsy tervy! But as you can see in a great way! Funny thing is, we started out this month thinking we would have all of this free time and we have used it wisely. We have turned it in to NO free time at all!
As Dad and I have just adopted:
Less stuff more life!

These are just a few pictures from this years October party at the Berkland's. I think we were SO excited to hang out with everyone that we kind of forgot to take pictures. Not like us, but I guess we have proven this month anything is possible! It was a lot of fun. You had such a good time hanging out in the playroom with the 20 kids who were there. Your nieces absolutely adore you and they had so much fun cuddling up on you all night!

Dad and I had to go down to Cherry Creek North for an appointment I had and Dad was playing with you on the sidewalks and taking you in the stores. Laura (or your favorite Tia) came down to meet us and you had a great time in the fall air playing in the sun!

Then later that day you came home and began your FAVORITE Fall activity! Eating leaves!

Oh and grass.

Not the first snow of the year, but the first snow we got you outside to touch it! You weren't too sure about that cold feeling. But as always I LOVE your hat!

This is your cabinet play area! You take things out, hand it to us. You share for a bit, take it back and put it away. We sit and do this for a long time! You love it.

Your evening night light. It shines stars and a moon up on the ceiling and it has three different colors. You have just started to enjoy playing with it in the dark.

LOVE that dishwasher. You can hear a sprint from across the room AS SOON as the door opens!
Poor Dad, it doesn't make this task any easier but you sure have a good time!

Birthday time for your cousin Tyler, Sweet 16!

Not often do you get THIS tired that you give up time to schmooze with a room full of people, but they just wore you flat out!

I am so glad Dad got pictures of you in this adorable outfit! Leila got you this outfit at the baby shower and I have been waiting for you to grow into it! You look Super Cute in it!

Almost 10 months! WHAT? Where did the time go!

You are getting all that closer to walking. The standing on your own with no help is going much better and you are on the move CONSTANTLY!

It has been a lot of fun this month to dance with you, tickle you, playing and laughing! Your interaction is really coming through and you have a VERY strong personality. Not to be confused with always needing to get your way, sometimes it bothers you sometimes it doesn't. But let's be very clear that you ALWAYS know what you want! You are still by far the happiest baby I have ever seen!

One comical occurrence this month was meeting Glenda for coffee one Saturday morning. We were sitting outside in the Fall air just chatting it up and you were having a great time playing. We were at some benches along some grass and sidewalks. Keeping my eye on you and you were having fun playing with the blades of grass and small rocks. Glenda looks down to see you slowly hugging the sidewalk. You were SO tired that you were laying down in the sun to take a nap on the not so soft ground. You are such a crowd pleaser when it comes to people, you don't fuss much if others are around to entertain and for you to share company with. You just go with the flow and have a great time, even when tired.
